Erica’s Story: Eyesight Healing

I used to have glasses, but I never liked wearing them, and contacts would just burn my eyes. “Lord, I don’t want it to be like this!” I’d say. I tried to go without, but I would just get headaches.

Anyway, at a healing conference I was having this dialogue with the Lord. I said, “Lord, my sight is not there yet, but I am not going to put on glasses or contacts until I get another headache.”

From then on, I didn’t get another headache!

I still didn’t have 100% eyesight but every night I would just keep speaking over my eyes. The sight just continued to come more and more! The two times I could really tell is when I was doing computer work or at night looking across the room to our clock. One night, I looked over and told my husband, I can finally see the numbers on the clock clear!

We often pray for healing, and in that, we actually want a miracle instantaneously. But oftentimes, healing can be a process! So keep contending and keep walking by faith. As I stepped out in faith, He did restore my sight. I have not been to the eye doctor since - for fifteen years!
